Our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Parma, Italy, is designed to translate our ingredient expertise into industrial excellence. 

With an overall production capacity of 9,000 tons per year of gluten-free ingredients, our facility stands among the most advanced in its category. The entire production process is fully automated, incorporating cutting-edge technology to guarantee maximum product safety, consistency, and efficiency at every stage. 

Furthermore, to guarantee the highest standards of food safety and product integrity, our facility operates under GFMS (Gluten-Free Management System) protocols. This system ensures strict allergen control and prevents any risk of cross-contamination, providing total assurance to our customers and partners in the gluten-free sector. 

Proprietary Technology, Rooted in Sustainability  

The Parma plant operates on HIFOOD’s proprietary technology and intellectual property, ensuring perfect alignment between product innovation and production capability

 
Our production system is characterized by: 

  • High automation and a low number of line operators, ensuring precision and process control 
  • High standards of quality and food safety, supported by rigorous certification systems 
  • Full alignment between product know-how and production technology, for consistent performance and scalable innovation 

 

Furthermore, our commitment to sustainability is deeply integrated into the way we operate. 

  • 100% of the electricity used in our plant comes from renewable sources, with 77% self-produced through our solar panel system
  • We also implement energy and heat recovery from the plant’s utilities, generating hot water and recovering energy from compressors and cooling systems to support the climate control of our production areas and offices. This approach significantly reduces our environmental footprint while improving energy efficiency.
